I'm a gal who likes her sleep. I would much rather stay up late and sleep in the following morning than rise at the crack of dawn, although I often find myself staying UP until daybreak. But there are those rare mornings when I rise out of bed, bright and early, ready to face the day. This morning is one of those mornings.
It's about 8:30 right now and I've been up since 6:30. I've already read my e-mails, checked my Facebook, made myself sausage and eggs, had 3 cups of coffee and have done the dishes. As I look out the window I see a flourish of white blossoms and a sunny, yet hazy sky. The Scientist is sound asleep in the next room and the Park and Ride across the street hasn't yet come to life with the whirling of bus engines.
I cherish mornings like these because it allows me to be present and be in the moment. I still have the whole day ahead of me with plenty to do and plenty to look forward to, but for now I can just BE.
