Tabitha tagged me for this fun exercise - show the world your cursive! I don't know about you, but I've NEVER felt comfortable writing in cursive. When it was taught to us in 3rd grade, we were told that cursive is quicker, easier, and just plain looks nicer. I beg to differ.
My grammie and my mum both have beautiful, flowing, elegant cursive, but mine always looked sloppy and disconnected. It never felt comfortable to me, no matter how much I practiced. To this day, the only thing that looks somewhat decent in cursive is my signature.
But here's what this exercise asked of me:
Write down the following, snap a picture (or scan the document), post it, and tag others.
1. Name/Blog Name
2. Right handed, left handed or both
3. Favorite letters to write
4. Least favorite letters to write
5. Write: The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
6. Write in caps:
7. Favorite song lyrics
8. Tag 7 people
9. Any special note or drawing
Um, first of all...even though you can't see the lines I SWEAR to you this was done on lined paper. Also? Writing in all caps in cursive isn't as easy as it seems. Fail. And lastly, that little drawing has always been one of my favorite doodles. I have old papers covered in these, with various POWS! and BANGS! written inside and occasionally The Scientist will come home to find our dry erase board covered in them. I'm an artist. What?
Ok, now to tag 7 people (no worries if you don't want to participate).
5. Yellow House
