My goal for this month is NO DRINKING. The first several days were a breeze. I rung in 2012 with a bang, and by bang I mean several cocktails, countless glasses of champagne, and multiple shots taken from a shotski.
Yeah...needless to say, January 1st was rough! The thought of drinking anything even remotely alcoholic was enough to make my head explode, so avoiding it was easy. Classes also started back up again last week and I wanted to start the quarter off with a clear head.
I cheated a little last Friday. We had a friend over for dinner and he brought a nice bottle of wine. I had two small glasses. It was tasty, but after 5 days of no drinking it was enough to leave me feeling less than 100% the next morning.
Other than that, I've been sticking to my goal really well! I've been more productive, I've had more energy which has led to more working out, and I've just felt better. Go figure.
