Goodies

I have a few things up my sleeve for this here blog and many of them include YOU, awesome readers! So here is a little preview of upcoming fun stuff, as well as a few links that I think you'll love.

GIVEAWAYS

I love to do giveaways and I have an awesome one coming up soon. I've partnered up with a local Etsy seller who is incredibly talented and doing some really cool stuff. But that's all I'm sayin' and you'll just have to wait and see!

I'm also planning on doing a Shabby Apple giveaway! If you're not familiar, the dresses from Shabby Apple are super cute and feminine - not to mention really affordable. I have a couple of them and they're such a fabulous addition to my wardrobe. I wish I had more occasions to wear them!

HUSTLE

I've been reading Erika's posts for several years now, and I love what she's done with her current blog, Newlyweds on a Budget. She blogs about being a newlywed, managing a household budget, and how she brings in some extra 'side hustle' income every month. She turned me on to Social Spark, which is a really easy way to make some extra cash here and there if you have a blog or website.

Erika has shared a bunch of other ways to earn extra money, including mystery shopping and freelance writing gigs, so I wanted to share some of my ways to earn extra money here and there.

Survey Savvy: I've been with Survey Savvy for 4 or 5 years now and have made a few hundred bucks over that time. You take surveys and participate in various consumer research and get paid for it!

Synovate: I signed up with Synovate maybe 10...years ago? It's been awhile. It's similar to Survey Savvy - you take surveys, test products, get paid. Super easy. They started small but have grown over the years and these days they offer cash payouts as well as gift cards to all kinds of places - Amazon, Zappos, REI, Shutterfly, etc.

Project Payday: Another survey machine. I've only been using Project Payday for about a year and a half when I saw another blogger mention it, but I love their system. I get a lot of e-mails from them every day, which was annoying at first, but I just created a filter and folder for them in my e-mail and it totally solved that problem. Anyway, their system is great because they send multiple surveys every day. I don't qualify for every survey, but I still get partial credit if I don't qualify. Their payout isn't straight cash, but they do give Amazon gift cards (which is just as good as cash to me!).

SHOPPING

Fab: If you haven't heard about Fab.com, today is your lucky day. Fab is one of the many membership discount/sale type sites, except it covers everything. Fashion, furniture, pets, home decor, jewelry, art, even magazine subscriptions! I've bought several items from Fab since they launched last year, including some awesome Christmas presents. Even one of my old high school chums was featured on there. Basically, it's a site for really cool stuff. I highly recommend it.

Ebates: I had seen a lot of bloggers talk about Ebates, which is a cash back system. I was totally skeptical at first, but when I saw that pretty much every store in the world is part of it, I thought why not? Now, whenever I buy anything online I see if that site is on Ebates. In most cases, it is. A few examples: Victoria's Secret, Sephora, Macy's, and Piperlime. Speaking of Piperlime, I recently found a pair of Michael Kors slingback peeptoe PURPLE pumps for less than $50 and I have to brag about them:

But seriously, Ebates is awesome because you get cash back on all your purchases! So if you do a lot of online shopping, this is totally your thing. It's not a ton of money, but in my world every penny counts.

The links I've given you won't make you rich, but extra money is extra money! I usually accumulate money/points into my accounts and cash out around the holidays to put toward Christmas presents. Definitely eases the holiday stress! Just be aware, though, that sometimes checks/redemption can take a long time - like 6-8 weeks. Plan ahead!

And now, for those of you who've read this whole post, I have a treat! I have two Starbucks gift cards to give away to two lucky winners. All you have to do is leave a comment and you have a chance to win. Winners will be announced one week from today.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner. I think maybe I'll retire from real life and just do surveys. Think that will work?

btw, i can count on one hand how many time i have been to starbucks in the past year. not because i hate it (i loooove it) but just because it's so expensive. there's one right by my work and it takes a lot of willpower some ays to not go over for a $4 coffee!! Looking forward to more giveaways!

You are like Oprah with the giving away of stuff. Except I like you more, so there's that.
