Thirteen Point One Times Four
I ran my first half marathon in 2010. It was such an incredible experience for me that I couldn't wait to run another one. I didn't run one in 2011, but ran two last year. This year, I plan on doubling that!
My first half of the year is coming up soon. I'll be running the Lake Sammamish Half Marathon in early March. This race sounds right up my alley. For those who are familiar with the area, it starts at Marymoor Park and ends at Lake Sammamish State Park. The course runs parallel with Lake Sammamish and is basically ALL FLAT.
For my second race, I'll be running the Snoqualmie Cinco de Mayo half again. I really enjoyed this race last year. It was a great course with beautiful scenery and I'll be running it with my friend Megan again. And our husbands will be joining us this time around!
I'll also be running the Rock & Roll again in June, for the third time! I love this race so much. It's so well organized and the energy is incredible!
The fourth half I plan on doing is the Lululemon SeaWheeze Half Marathon in Vancouver, BC. My sister-in-law did it last year and had a blast. I love Vancouver and it sounds like a really fun race!
I don't have any specific goals for any of these races, except to get a PR. My fastest half was actually my first one, at 2:50:30, and I would really like to beat that time at least once this year.
I haven't been following any strict training programs, but I have been running consistently since late November. I've had some great runs since then, which gives me so much motivation! I've also been climbing the stairs at work twice a day with some co-workers. Our office is on the 20th floor so we take the elevator to the bottom and climb back up. Holy sore quads, Batman! But I love it.
I'm looking forward to challenging myself and pushing my body further than I've pushed it in awhile. Or...uh...ever.

Oh my gosh you are so inspiring! I am not a runner AT ALL but I signed up for the St. Paddy's Day Dash 5K this year and I'm super nervous! Nowhere near what you're doing though, I'm totally amazed... great job!!
Awesome! Keep it up, you crazy athlete, you.
Good for you!!! I actually just ran my first half-marathon this past Sunday, and I'm looking to sign up for a few more this year. I'm also thinking about the Rock n Roll Half Marathon...
Alright, I just signed up for the Snoqualmie Cinco de Mayo half! I am also registered for the See Jane Run half in July as well. Guess I should start running now! :) I got a little burned out after the Dash pt state park trail half last year, but I guess nothing could be worse than that was!

Way to go! 4 1/2 marathons?! That is impressive. You are inspiring me to sign up for one this spring...I may end up actually doing one of these races!
What an incredible goal! I have no doubt you will do awesome in all of them. YAY!
Also... I need to stop complaining about working on the 6th floor now. Ha.
